The Tendring Youth Assembly (TYA) is a group of young people who sponsored by Tendring District Council to represent the official voice of young people in Tendring.
They are consulted by Tendring District Council and other organisations such as the Police and ESTConnexions. They represent the views of young people in the District and flag up problems such as the lack of activities for young people and poor transport. The TYA also sets up projects to benefit young people.
The group of up to 25 young people aged 12 to 19 also advise the District Council on whether policies and facilities are young people friendly.
