This Service deals with housing and council tax benefit, collecting Council Tax and Tax that businesses have to pay which is called National Non Domestic Rates. They also run Cash Offices where people can pay their Council Tax and distribute bus and rail passes.
Did you know? District and Borough Councils collect Council Tax but not all the money is spent on District Council Services. The Council Tax is also spent on services provided by Essex County Council, Essex Fire Authority, Essex Police Authority and town and parish councils.
